Hello everyone and thank you for your patience - because it's that time again! I'm so happy to announce that I've found our Featured Author for December!

For those who are unfamiliar, I have a monthly contest - one that includes the opportunity for all of my readers, both new and old, to be featured on my website, and multiple social media accounts!

Now, with great pleasure, I am pleased to announce our featured author for December, @inkedlimerence!

For those who don't know, inkedlimerence is an author who has taken to horror like no other author.

Since posting on Wattpad two years ago, she's written 1 book, that being addictive werewolf drama, With The Wolves. This novel follows newly turned werewolf, Jordan Lively, as she begins to investigate a string of animal attacks happening in her home town. Though things quickly take a turn for the worse when humans, too, start dropping like flies, and Jordan can't quite put her finger on who, or what, is doing the killing. I definitely recommend this one, even to those who aren't partial to the werewolf genre - you'll instantly be taken with our latest author's writing, and soon enough, you'll be in love with the story as well!

Since getting to know inkedlimerence, I can tell you that it has been absolutely incredible watching her take her writing journey this far. Upon first meeting her, I could tell that her original ideas would soon be followed by a writing skill that matches those on the NYT bestseller's list, and after catching up on her current works, I can confirm that she has only gotten better with time. Her latest book, With the Wolves, drew me in from the first sentence, and I could not be more proud of ow far she's come. Though I am close with the majority our of featured authors, I've had the privileged of keeping close with inkedlimerence from back when she first started. Getting to know her as a friend and fellow author first, before choosing her as Featured Author for December, has been one of the best experiences. As I said before, I knew she was going places, and being able to see her most recent works has only solidified that. Plus, it doesn't hurt that her covers are beautiful to boot!

I would like to give a personal congratulations to this amazing author! You will be featured both here, and on my Wattpad!

For anyone that would like to get to know inkedlimerencebetter, check out the interview on my Wattpad, or down below!

SS: How long have you been on Wattpad?

I: I’ve been on Wattpad for about two years! It’s been such an interesting experience, growing as a writer and meeting new people!

SS: How long have you been writing?

I: I’ve been writing since fourth grade, actually. I remember that my elementary school did a lot of short story prompts, and I loved it!

SS: When did you first realize you wanted to write?

I: I didn’t actually think writing was something I loved until seventh grade, it had always been just something I’d do for a prompt or essay. But when I joined Wattpad and began to read other people’s stories, I realized that I wanted to tell my stories too.

SS: What do you like to do when you're not writing?

I: When I’m not writing, you can normally find me researching lost and legendary cities—I have a ton of history books! If I didn’t want to be a writer, I’d most likely be a historian or archaeologist, honestly.

SS: Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say when you do?

I: I sometimes do, but not often. My readers are always sweet and supportive, and don’t let me get overconfident! They’re always there to call me out on grammar and spelling errors, which I actually find pretty helpful. I love my readers a lot, and appreciate all of them. :)

SS: What do you think makes a good story?

I: A good story in my opinion needs a good, strong cast of characters and well developed relationships between these characters. It obviously needs a well-written and subversive plot, and needs to be paced quickly enough to not bore the reader, but slow enough to let the reader understand what’s happening.

SS: How do you go about writing a chapter?

I: To write chapters, I normally make a list of bullet points stating what needs/should happen in order to move the story along, but not jump into the climax/intense scenes so that the story is drawn out long enough to build the strong relationships between characters that I had mentioned before. Honestly, I otherwise go with my gut. Outlining isn’t my favorite task to do, but at least faintly planning out what you want in a chapter is helpful.

SS: What gives you inspiration?

I: Literature, poetry, movies, songs, and other writers themselves give me the inspiration and helps me see things in different perspectives. Creativity feeds creativity, in my opinion.

SS: Who influences your writing?

I: No one influences my writings more than my friends and romantic interests. Author-wise, I’m influenced a lot by a ton of people, goodness, I don’t think I could pick just one!

SS: How would you describe yourself as a writer?

I: I’d describe myself as just a writer that takes things one step at a time and doesn’t quit. I’m not going to lie, I’ve given up on a lot of things, but writing has never been and will never be one of them. I’d like to think I push myself to write things out of my comfort zone, such as poetry or fantasy.

SS: What's your favorite genre to write under?

I: I fully adore writing thriller, horror, and adventure! I dabble in fantasy from time to time. I’ll write everything though, including nonfiction, such as articles or papers for fun (history papers, to be specific).

SS: What's one of your favorite stories on Wattpad?

I: Queen of Thieves is definitely a favorite of mine, but I also adore The Girl He Left Behind duology, the Follow Me Back books, and Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board series.

SS: And finally, what's one of your favorite stories you've written on Wattpad?

I: I’m not entirely sure. Lately I’ve been writing different things and haven’t been entirely proud of my works, but I’m releasing couple of new stories. It’s been a philosophy of mine to never turn writing into a chore, which leads to me trying new things and hating others. But if I truly had to choose, With the Wolves is currently one of my personal favorites.
