Since early last year, I've made it my job to try new things within the online writing community that is Wattpad. After making that resolution in 2017, I had come to win the Currents Epilogue Contest last year, and also found the courage to submit the finished manuscripts of Something Real and The Buddies Rule to Swoon Reads. Along with all of these exciting new endeavors, I tried my luck with the Wattpad Block Party application last October, and I got in! It is with great pleasure that I announce I will be one of over 100 authors featured in this years Wattpad Block Party in February!
For those that don't know, the Wattpad Block Party is an incredible event hosted by Wattpad's very own Kelly Anne Blount. Twice a year, authors from all over are featured side by side with the opportunity to get a little extra exposure, and a chance to share their own post with the Wattpad community. It's an amazing event and I can't say enough good things about it!
With that in mind, I've thought that I would share a bit of my post (coming sometime in February, I will keep you all posted as to when) of my upcoming book, Gentlemen's Guide to Wingmen. This book is strangely very important to me; with characters coming from the Something Real series and a How i Met Your Mother vibe, I can't wait to see what you all think!

First Chapter Will be Featured in The Wattpad Block Party February 2018 - More To Come Later in The Year
One thing was for certain - I was the only one with a brain in this place. Usually, that was my number one rule: go after someone with half a brain. But tonight, I wasn't having it. The image of Eddy dry humping this girl would be forever seared into my long-term memory, and in all honesty, it was making me dry-heave. "Why did you drag me here?" My voice poured out as smooth as the whiskey we were drinking before I glanced over my shoulder. My eyes stopped as I caught sight of the girl practically popping out of her top. "And who might this be?" He rolled his eyes before shoving his strangely damp hand into my cheek lazily. "Shut up." His words all blurring into one as he then returns to the barely dressed girl sitting on his lap. It was the maid of honor, no less. "Ed," I laughed. "Let's bounce. There isn't one girl in here I would even consider." Eddy hissed out a slur of rancid words, ones that I couldn't make out. But Eddy was barely worth my time in the state he was in. He was hammered beyond belief. I needed a wingman, not a drunkard looking to hook up with a prostitute. He barely deserved the time I had given him already, so with a shake of the head, I stood up from the seat and took one last look of the place. The women were hot, I would give them that. But none, no one, had any class whatsoever. They all looked to be self-loathing, craving confidence, and oozing pity from every end. I wasn't up for that kind of grunge match tonight. I wanted something simple, a girl who was merely having an off night emotionally and an on night physically if you know what I mean. Maybe even one who was hoping to get back at an ex, or one that was up to her knees in daddy issues. Not this zoo of a wedding reception.
That's all for this week! Let me know what you guys thought and if there's anything you'd like to see next time!
Little reminder to go check out our Featured Author of The Year, Misty Hayes! Her feature is here on the blog, but you are more than free to follow her on Wattpad, or purchase her book!
