[Repost] Writers Day - There's More Than Talent to Wattpad by Skye @cloudy_skye123

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! For the ENTIRE month of December, we'll be seeing content like this from both myself, and from the Featured Authors (going all the way back to the beginning!). Along with each of us sharing first chapters from our novels (all on, or soon to be on, Wattpad!), we'll also be getting an inside look into everyone's writing process, book reviews, and even better - getting to know the contestants trying for Featured Author of The Year 2019! Stick around for the fun!

Now over to Skye:

Hello Shay's fans! (I'm sure that there are many of you).

No, I am not Shay. Sorry to disappoint. I have taken over her blog for a little while to talk to y'all about being an author and biz. Cool? (If you answered yes I will never know because I cannot time travel).

Being an author on Wattpad isn't just about having talent sadly.

Many people forget that Wattpad is a form of social media. Like Instagram and all the other stuff that kids are using these days, there's competition. To get your books/poems/whatever you write out there you gotta be involved. Sadly this comes with human interaction (all of the introverts are crying in their respective corners), you have to enter contests and message people and all that jazz. If you're too lazy for that then sadly you must have a crippling laziness disorder because that isn't hard.

Another thing that y'all need to remember is grammar. You can have the best story ever but if you have poor grammar then you're in trouble. Just double check your spelling; it's really not that hard.

That is all!

Shay, you may have your blog back.

You're welcome.

Let's give a round of applause to Skye! We'll be seeing more from her throughout the month of December!
